NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming was developed in the early 70s by scientists Richard Bandler and John Grinder. Both were hoping to ask an answer to the question: What makes people effective and successful? One feature of the study focused on communication, by analyzing how it affects behaviour, Bandler & Grinder were able to find some patterns. NLP combines the aspects of behavioural psychology, hypnosis, linguistics, modelling and a bit of common sense. NLP is a powerful vehicle for personal change utilized by millions of people around the world.
According to them, they found that there are words connected directly with people’s emotions, senses and memories. Oftentimes during NLP hypnosis, the client will be placed into a state of trance and will be told a story through vivid imagery. They believed that these images will help the client in their relaxation.
NLP is one of the teachings incorporated in Art of Neutrality. Art of Neutrality focused on teaching a combination of the best energetic practices besides Yuen Method such as qigong, tai chi, acupressure and the principles of neutrality as well as Western Holistic practices such as NLP, EFT, hypnotherapy and principles of quantum physics. Exercise 1: Reverse Movie Technique
One of the most popular techniques in NLP is the REVERSE MOVIE TECHNIQUE. This reverse the traumatic event’s time sequence by running a disassociated movie of the event backward.
Reverse Movie Technique also known as NLP Trauma and Phobia cure said to be effective in resolving self-limiting behaviour, resolve traumas such as phobias, panic attacks, anxieties, serious illness, post traumatic stress disorders (PTSD) and a whole lot more.
How to do the Reverse Movie Technique to reduce any fear, phobia or insecurity:
Before you start the exercise you need to:
Pick a fear or phobia you want to eliminate
- Fear of Loss (Relationship or Job)
- Social Phobia
- Fear of Heights
- Fear of Snakes
- Fear of Aging
When you think about these issues, scan your body. See if you can feel any tightness, tension or any other discomfort that could be located in stomach ache, throat, head
Step 1 Think about the any worst-case scenario as a movie that has a beginning and an end. Make a MENTAL MOVIE of the situation.
Example: For fear of sickness, the movie would be like you are walking into a doctor’s office and the doctor tells you that you have a terminal illness and only have weeks to love.
Beginning: Walking into the doctor’s office
End: Hearing the bad news
Step 2 For maximum effectiveness, use the worst case scenario first.
Do not start at the beginning of the movie and play through it.
Instead, go to the end of the movie and play it backwards at light speed. It should be as fast as a lightning flash.
Play movie backwards in color at light speed.
Step 3 Check how you feel about the fear or phobia. Does it feel different? Has the feelings in
your body shifted? If you feel nothing or blank, it means the exercises worked.
You want to be in a space of neutrality, where you will have no fears in life that can bother you, even life experiences can’t get you upset.

Art of Neutrality: Fire Technique
Think about being unconditional. What color comes up for you?
Think about a giant bonfire. In the bonfire, make the color of the fire the color from step 1
Take the MOVIE (Film Strip) you reversed in Exercise 1 and put it into the bonfire. Think about it as a piece of paper getting burned up.
